The first point of contact is your child's Year Group Student Progress Coordinator or Progress Tutor, as these members of staff have overall responsibility for your child's progress and welfare at school. Student Progress Coordinators and Progress Tutors are also classroom teachers, so if you wish to speak to one of them on the telephone it is possible that you may have to initially leave a message with the school office. You will be contacted at the earliest opportunity. If you wish to meet with the Student Progress Coordinator, please telephone the School Office and ask for an appointment.
           
Letters can be sent to the Student Progress Coordinator or Progress Tutor with your child, or posted in the normal way. You can also fax or email the school.
           
If the problem is really urgent, you may wish to speak to a senior member of staff, the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher. Contact can be made by telephoning the school office or by letter. Once again it is worthwhile remembering that all members of staff at Hodgson, including the Headteacher, have teaching responsibilities. However, we will always make every effort to ensure someone is available to speak to you.

We welcome visits to school by parents. It is advisable, however, to make an appointment if you wish to see a particular teacher. We shall always make someone available to you for urgent matters. Visitors to school should please introduce themselves at the reception in the school’s main entrance.
